CAR GARAGE | Volkswagen Scirocco GTS (2013) | It's been 30 years since the very first Volkswagen Scirocco GTS rolled off the assembly line. Featuring little more than a slightly reworked front Valance and some trippy decal work, the original Scirocco GTS Likely was most notable for the fact That it was the first in the family to rock a blacked-out B-pillar. Now Volkswagen is paying homage to the machine with a new Scirocco GTS.
Unveiled at the Auto Mobil International, the modern hatch rocks the same 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine, complete with 210 horsepower, as the rest of the Scirocco range. A set of racing stripes spread from the hood to the car lift gate Lend a bit of sportiness, but the biggest changes can be found on the front and rear fascias.
On the outside, the package adds sportier front and rear bumpers, flared side skirts, black and red racing stripes running from the hood, over the roof and to the tailgate, red brake calipers and matching colored mirror caps, 18-inch wheels and black exhaust tips. The same themes Continues color inside the black leather upholstery with red stitching featuring, while the classic golf ball shift knob also makes a comeback on the manual gearbox model.
