Mini Paceman (2014)


CAR GARAGE | Mini Paceman (2014) | The innovative concept of a compact Sports Activity Coupé is Expressed in an exterior design that faithfully embodies the MINI Paceman's multifaceted driving properties within the template of the established MINI design language. The coupé-style roof, swooping downwards towards the rear, almost seamlessly sits atop the passenger compartment Contours and its distinctive coupé fit neatly into the mold. The MINI Paceman squarely has been designed as a four-seater. Sports seats for the driver and front passenger are included as standard, and the pair of individual seats in the rear offer impressive shoulder room and headroom, outstanding lateral support and exceptional comfort. The high-opening tailgate of the MINI Paceman and its low boot sill allow the luggage area to be accessed in comfort. Load capacity stands at 330 liters, increasing to 1.080 liters when the rear seat backrests are folded down.


Sporting flair, rugged practicality and versatility are the central traits of the MINI Paceman's character. The MINI Paceman's safety concept is rooted in the principles governing all the brand's models and, as with the MINI Countryman, delivers impressive and far-reaching occupant protection. It is the second MINI model (after the Countryman) Whose exterior length exceeds four meters. Its sporty yet elegant proportions are the result of a body length of 4.109 millimeters (MINI Cooper S and MINI Cooper SD Paceman Paceman: 4.115 millimeters), a width of 1.786 millimeters and a height of 1.518 millimeters (MINI Cooper S and MINI Cooper SD Paceman Paceman: 1.522 millimeters).


The MINI Paceman is equipped as standard with a six-speed manual gearbox, while a six-speed automatic - complete with the Steptronic function enabling manual gearshifts - is available as an option for all models. In the MINI Cooper S and MINI Cooper SD Paceman Paceman, the automatic gearbox also comes with shift paddles attached to the steering wheel; these can be ordered as an option for all other models. The MINI Cooper S Paceman's engine also gains a particularly sporting soundtrack, including a distinctive note at idle. In models ordered with the automatic gearbox, the Sport Button can be used to activate a specially tuned sport roomates program makes various adjustments, Including adding extra zip to the gear changes.


The permanent all-wheel-drive system is available for the MINI Paceman Cooper S, MINI Cooper and MINI Cooper SD Paceman D Paceman and can be combined with either the manual or the automatic gearbox. Four variants of the MINI Paceman will be available from launch. A shared feature of the 1.6-liter petrol engines powering the MINI Cooper S and MINI Cooper Paceman Paceman is fully variable valve management.
